Stella and her cousins meet for a weekend away at least twice a year, visiting new towns and cities each time. Since there is a group of seventeen, they usually rent lodges or holiday homes that allow them to stay in larger groups than a hotel would allow. However, this usually means that they are in self-catering premises and they often alternate between who does the cooking. This February, the group are staying at a beautiful lodge in Herefordshire and have decided to treat themselves to a freshly prepared meal from Hog Roast Weobley, to save any of them from having to do the cooking! We will be serving our classic hog roast menu, which will be the perfect menu for enjoying on a cosy and relaxing Sunday afternoon.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Weobley team arrived at the venue in the morning to ensure that we had plenty of time to prepare the menu. We began our prep by slow-roasting the hog, which required around five hours to cook to perfection. Once the succulent pork was ready, it was expertly carved by our chef and served alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and rich gravy, to create the perfect balanced and delicious lunch. Our catering was a great success and it was lovely to see all of the cousins enjoying a meal together that they didn’t have to worry about cooking!
