1. Can you cater for our gluten free guests?

Absolutely, we aim to cater for everyone, this includes gluten free diets, vegetarians, vegan, dairy free or those that even require a halal menu. Our chefs and their teams are fully trained in the preparation of these menus and all our buffets and set meals are supplied with full allergen information.

Here at Spitting Pig Herefordshire, we love working and creating with our clients to help them design and create a bespoke menu that suits their theme, budget and guests. Whether it’s your favourite dessert that you want to add to the menu, or you want to add another starter to the menu, we are here for all your unique food catering needs.

  1. Do you cater for any time of the day?

We can cater for everything ranging from first thing in the morning for your wedding breakfast to perk you up before the big day to late evening meals for your guests to sober up with. Spitting Pig Herefordshire will also cater for longer events that last all day, for example corporate staff events or feeding factory workers all day, along with bank holidays and weekends.

  1. Can our guests watch you cook?

Yes of course, our chefs love an audience, they will prepare and cook everything in front of your eyes, so you get to see the crackling crisp up in front of your very eyes and the fresh salads being prepared by hand.

Each of our menus can be made bespoke, built on your desired flavours, aesthetic and style and we will always leave an indelible impression on your guests. We bring the whole kitchen to you. no matter where you are. Unlike other catering companies, we don’t reheat our food on-site, but create fresh, 100% from scratch local cooking with top-quality ingredients. Our food is served hot when it should be hot and chilled when it should be chilled. Whether your event is a birthday party, engagement celebration, wedding reception or business lunch, we can accomodate and employ attention to detail for each experience we cater – regardless of size or scope.

  1. Do you just serve Hog Roasts?

We offer a high quality catering service or any event. Serving you with a delicious Hog Roast always, however we are not just limited to Hog Roasts alone! Please inquire about beef, lamb, hams, turkey and much more!

  1. Do you have a drop off service?

We can bring our buffet to you, set it all up and return later to pick up any non-disposable serving items. No servers are in with this service. This option is perfect for smaller, more intimate events where you would just prefer it to be you and your family and friends. For these drop offs, we include quality paper plates and plastic eating utensils. We can also provide a table for set up, a table linen, chaffing dishes and serving utensils. If you would prefer china and silverware we will be more than happy to make arrangements.

  1. Will you run out of food?

Our guarantee is that we will never run out! That being said, we need to know your final numbers are accurate, if they are accurate then you do not need to worry about a shortage of food regardless of how many times they want to come back up for seconds of our delicious Hog Roast rolls.

  1. I’ve never had a Hog Roast before, why should I choose one for my event?

Hog Roasts are ever increasingly popular, especially as a finger buffet to feed your guests delicious food and give your event a fantastic focal point. Using only the finest local free range pigs that are slow roasted in our machine for on average eight hours, this ensures the best tasting succulent meat, served on fresh bread rolls or wraps served with sage and onion stuffing, a choice of sauce & of course extra crispy crackling. This option provides a mouth watering feast for all events! You can also add a selection of salads, chips, roasted potatoes or sweet potatoes to any meal.
