What’s better than one grand celebration? Two!
Last week, the Hog Roast Stourport-on-Severn had the joy of joining an extremely special event that celebrated both 25 wonderful years of marriage and a coinciding 50th birthday. Pulling double duty on the celebrations meant pulling double duty on our catering services, as our dining had to satisfy the high demands of not just one special occasion, but two in equal high measure!
Of course, if ever there was a caterer and dining experience that could match up to such a demand, it would be Hog Roast Stourport-on-Severn and our signature hog roast dining experience! Pitching up at our customer’s home in Stourport-on-Severn, head chef Duncan had our hog roast cooking away early doors. It takes the better part of a whole afternoon to bring this authentic pork roast to its perfect level of crisp texturing and tender meatiness. Fortunately, during those long 6-8 hours you do also get quite the spectacle as we cook a whole pig in the traditional spit style. That means plenty of fiery, aromatic goodness to go along with your event, even while waiting for your dinner to come.
And in that time Duncan remained hard at work preparing the rest of our accompaniments. It was due to be our signature hog roast menu, so that meant homemade sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, fresh apple sauce, a selection of salads with one potato option, and a veggie alternative to our meaty roast to follow. For their special double celebration, our customer opted for our grilled veg and halloumi skewers, which go great on a summer’s day like this served along with our cooling tzatziki dip and punchy sweet chilli sauce. Our gourmet coleslaw and our seasonal leafy greens then bring a tonne of colour to guest plates, ensuring even more of that light summery feel.
