Recently, we had the privilege of assisting Naomi and John in celebrating their little girl’s Christening. The couple envisioned an intimate gathering of 25 guests at their home; a cosy affair to follow the sacred service. And it was Hog Roast Putley’s job to curate a memorable feast for the occasion.
Our dedicated catering manager, Michele, took charge of the event. Early that morning, she set up our catering gazebo in the couple’s back garden, braving the mild yet wet weather to prepare a sumptuous hog roast spread. Come rain or shine, we at Hog Roast Putley are committed to serving delectable food, and Michele’s enthusiasm never dampens – even when the weather is at its worst.
As the guests gathered indoors, peeking out through the patio doors into the garden where the magic was happening, the enticing aroma of the hog roast filled the air. Michele quickly carved up the meat and served it on gluten-free rolls alongside crackling, sage and onion stuffing and applesauce. To complement the show-stopping pig, she prepared a selection of sides, comprising coleslaw, herb-dressed new potatoes, a refreshing tomato and mozzarella salad, and a seasonal mixed salad. For our vegetarian guests, we prepared grilled veggie skewers, ensuring everyone was well-fed.
The day unfolded seamlessly, with Michele’s expertise and warm professionalism ensuring that Naomi, John, and their guests received a top-notch food service. As the laughter and joy flowed freely, the couple could relax, knowing that their event was in capable hands.
