Isla approached Hog Roast Hereford several weeks ago and asked us to cater for her family nature day, a special event designed to introduce children to local wildlife and provide families with a unique outdoor bonding experience. With a jam-packed itinerary that included orienteering, scavenger hunts, rock painting, and more, Isla knew that her 75 ticket holders would work up quite an appetite.
Luckily, Hog Roast Hereford was on hand to provide a hearty spread that would satisfy even the most ravenous of adventurers. Our catering manager, Michele, whipped up our BBQ Menu, filling the air with mouth-watering, smoky aromas.
The handmade beef burger patties served on gluten-free buns with melted cheese, were a particular hit, with guests praising the richness and tenderness of the beef. The guests also expressed their love for our other meat options available. From the juicy gourmet sausages and succulent chicken skewers to the sticky spare ribs, the BBQ feast was a meat-eaters paradise!
But the meat lovers weren’t the only ones in for a treat. Our meat-free BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls and veggie sausages offered a flavourful alternative that made everyone feel included. Accompanied by pasta salad, coleslaw, and mixed sweet potato and regular fries, our spread provided a feast for the senses.
As the attendees polished off their plates and prepared for the final activity of the day – an up-close animal experience led by a professional handler – Isla was thrilled with the positive feedback she received about the food. And as Michele and the team cleared away the leftovers, ensuring that nothing was left behind, they couldn’t help but feel proud of their contribution to such a memorable event.
