After months of relentless studying, textbook marathons, and the nail-biting stress of exams, the long-awaited GCSE results day finally arrived last week. Students across the nation woke up with a mix of excitement and nerves, eager to see how they’d fared. For Alison, the day held an extra special twist, thanks to her amazing parents, Gus and Alexis!
With complete faith that Alison would ace her exams (and they were spot on!), Gus and Alexis decided to go big and celebrate her success in style. They organised a fabulous family get-together to mark the occasion, and to make the day even more memorable, they called in Hog Roast Bromyard to cater!
Our Southern Slow Roast Menu was the perfect choice to feed the joyous crowd. Michele, Hog Roast Bromyard’s fantastic catering manager, took the reins and got to work preparing a feast that could make anyone’s taste buds dance with delight. The menu featured a mouth-watering line-up of BBQ pork butt that was slow-cooked until tender; Louisiana-style sticky pork ribs that were finger-licking good; and Cajun-spiced chickens bursting with zest.
But that’s not all! Our grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs were a hit among the veggies and vegans, adding a burst of colour and flavour for those who prefer their meals meat-free. On the side, we served Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw that was creamy and crisp, mixed fries that were golden and addictive and a Greek salad that was a refreshing explosion of juicy plum tomatoes, crisp cucumber, tangy olives, and rich feta cheese.
Alison’s reaction to the surprise feast was priceless—she was thrilled to kick back and relax after all that exam pressure. Surrounded by her beaming family, she could finally savour the moment and enjoy some well-deserved downtime. The food was the highlight of the afternoon, with everyone buzzing about the incredible flavours and quality of each dish.
It was a day filled with celebration, pride, and deliciousness. At Hog Roast Bromyard, we were delighted to be part of Alison’s special moment, helping to turn her GCSE triumph into a feast to remember. Cheers to Alison’s success – we wish her many more tasty celebrations to come!
