Laura works as a department lead at a local university in Hertfordshire and is currently organising the spring ball. The university hosts a variety of formal events throughout the year to allow students and staff to enjoy the opportunity to dress up and enjoy a night of luxury. For the upcoming event, Hog Roast Dorstone was hired to cater for the occasion, as our formal dining menu is ideal for occasions such as thing one. Our catering manager Michelle was happy to get involved and believed that we would be a great fit with the venue and entertainment.
In preparation for this event, Michelle and the Hog Roast Dorstone team have been planning the menu and ensuring that everything is in order. Our menu will begin with canapes as the guests arrive, ranging from mini pizzas to an Indian selection. We will serve five different dishes to ensure that there is something for every guest to enjoy. This is a great introduction to our catering and is a great start to the event.
Following this, the guests will then be seated and can enjoy a classic Hog Roast Dorstone main course. We will be preparing a slow-roasted hog, served alongside the traditional trimmings and side dishes. For meat-free guests, we will also be serving BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a great meat-free alternative.
To finish the menu, we will then be serving a selection of dessert options, accompanied by fresh berries and English cream. Our desserts are individually prepared and are the perfect way to end a delicious menu.
